    Prostitution is decriminalized and regulated at the state level in Mexico. Where regulated they must be at least 18, registered, pay for and receive health checks, and carry their health card. It cannot be in public though many cities in Mexico have a red light district or “zona roja.”

    The testing is one of the measures that Tijuana has taken to regulate prostitution, which has flourished here for decades. The city council passed a law in June that requires the town’s active prostitutes – 5,000 are currently being tested each month – to have monthly medical exams for sexually transmitted diseases and forces brothel owners to adopt more sanitary practices. Those who do not face stiff fines and the loss of their business licenses.

    Most brothels in Turkish side charge 125-200 TL per hour (50-80 euro per hour).

    There is two brothels just after you cross the border from south to the Famagusta, TRNC. You will see one of the brothels in the left side of the street and it looks like an apartment complex with a bar downstairs, other one is opposite of it in the right side. I think both have the same short Turkish looking guy who keeps walking back and forth between the buildings. These are actually first buildings you see when you enter TRNC side so you can not miss them. Rate was 120TL for girl and 20 TL entrance to the club last year , so total loss is 140 TL (55 euros).     It is complete quiet at the day time in Nicosia when it comes to the hookers. I have never seen any prostitutes on the TRNC side of Nicosia. But in the Greece speaking side there is some whores at the night time in weekends. I am not sure about the current situation if there is less or more whores because of the recession.

    I do not think it is fair that foreigners have to pay double. Not all foreigners make more than Turkish people. Example eastern european are more poor than Turkish. Also Turkish people are very hairy, so isnt it more fun for girl to be with some one less hairy?
