Guest Bali Visa and money exchan Posted October 27, 2014 Hi members can you guys answer these ? 1. where and how to exchange foreign currency? 2. are currency exchange kiosks available everywhere ? 3. any recommendations on where to change for better price ? like bank is better or roadside kiosk is better ? 4. which USD bills get better rate ? in Thailand USD 100bills get better rate. 5. how about hotels and restaurants ? do they accept credit cards ? any additional charge ? 6. if we use local ATM with foreign debit cards will there be any extra service change ? any other tip will be appreciate. 1. You can exchange money in the place you mentioned in the question number 2 (You can exchange foreign currency in any currency exchange kiosks / booths in Bali) 2. Foreign currency exchange kiosks are available everywhere in Bali. 3. You get best rate by taking money out from the ATM. 4. Sometime for US$100 notes better exchange rates are offered than for US$1 bills, which are not even accept in every money booth. Most money exchanges do not accept US bills made earlier than 2007. 5. Most big hotels and restaurants accept major credit cards. Small restaurant may not. 6. If you use local ATM with foreign debit cards there be extra service charge of maybe dollar or two (+ your credit cards % rate fee, which my VISA has 2.5%) Automatic Teller Machines are all over the island, especially at shopping centers and bank branches. You can draw usually between 1.2 millions and 2.5 millions in one go. So if you need more much money you will have to pull several times adding to the bank charges, as each transaction counts! 1 million equals US$ 82.
Guest michael Posted October 27, 2014 traveling to sosua, how to hire an escort over their before I arrive
davidmar27 0 Posted October 30, 2014 i would like to 1. hire a bike 2. hire an escort to show me Ubud. Plus all items such as food, soft drinks etc I will foot the bill. To do this, how much we need to budget per day? Usually in Pattaya, if we ask the freelancers to escort us, they generally do not agree. But if we take them to hotel on LT (longtime) and discuss about tomorrow's plans, usually they agree on suitable payment terms. In Pattaya I paid a stunner USD 60/- per day and then food, drinks and travel extra. I could take photos with a powerful camera freely. Not sure all these things can be done in Bali. Any tips, suggestions, estimates or experiences???? thanks in advance for your detailed responses
