Bokkingshang is a street in Deventer , next to the driveway to the Wilhelmina bridge over the IJssel . The place was originally a harbor quay where herring was hung up to be smoked herring. In the Middle Ages, was the site of one of the waltorens of the city wall . In 1999 the remains were a 15th century roundel excavated.
