Afwerkplek An afwerkplek is the name of a location where soliciting prostitutes by car from the customer will drive to sex to businesses. These locations are the municipalities designated and are usually located on or near the prostitution area. Often they are specially equipped parking spaces with fences for some privacy. Such legal afwerkplekken come almost exclusively in the Netherlands. The first legal afwerkplekken outside the Netherlands in 2001 in Cologne built. Red Light Districts in The Hague: *Geleenstraat / Hunstraat - still active *Doublestraat (in the old town) - still active *Poeldijksestraat - was closed down in 1999 and the buildings demolished in 2006.
